SVCE and MBCP are seeking to enter into one or more long-term Power Purchase and Sale Agreements (PPAs) to secure up to 700 GWh per year of energy combined from Carbon Free generation facilities. For Solar PV generating facilities, offers must contain an Energy Storage Facility. Carbon Free is defined as any energy source except nuclear-powered generation assets that is considered by the State of California to have zero Greenhouse Gas emissions in accordance with Cap and Trade Regulations, and the generation facility must meet the California Energy Commission's definition as a Category 1 Eligible Renewable Resource (PCC1 ERR). Offers must include existing or new construction Carbon Free generating facilities with energy storage systems for at least 30% of the generating facility capacity. Delivery point is at the Point of Interconnection (POI). Pricing structure options include: Option 1 - All-in Price ($/MWh) for Energy + REC + RA plus Fixed Pricing ($/kW-year) for Energy Storage facility with optional variable component; Option 2 - All-in Price ($/MWh) for Energy + REC + RA + Energy Storage Services. Delivery terms available are 10, 15, or 20 years with contract quantities from minimum 50 GWh per year up to maximum 700 GWh per year. Delivery term start date must be on or before January 2020. Scheduling Coordinator will be Buyer or Buyer's Third-Party SC.
