SDG&E is issuing a 2018 IDER (Integrated Distributed Energy Resources) Request for Offers to seek distribution capacity resources to defer a distribution project for circuits 303 and 783 near Carlsbad, California. SDG&E is seeking integrated hybrid resource types including Energy Efficiency (third party programs only), Demand Response (third party programs only), Renewables (third party owned), Energy Storage (third party owned), and Distributed Generation (third party owned). Resources must be delivered no later than February 1, 2020. The minimum contract delivery term is five (5) years and the maximum contract term is ten (10) years. Offers must include sufficient capacity on both circuits 303 and 783 to meet minimum capacity requirements, however SDG&E may choose to contract with different Respondents on each circuit. If more than one resource/resource type is necessary to meet minimum capacity amounts, they must be integrated with one counterparty and cross defaults for failing to meet aggregate performance. All solutions must be owned and operated by third parties; SDG&E is not seeking utility-owned solutions.
