NV Energy is issuing a Request for Proposals to acquire long-term dispatchable renewable energy resources with a minimum size of 20 megawatts together with all associated environmental and renewable energy attributes. The RFP seeks to advance State of Nevada energy policies by procuring new renewable energy projects that produce economic, health and environmental benefits for Nevadans. Bidders have the opportunity to propose energy storage systems integrated with renewable energy resources. All proposals must include a completed Facilities Study or Large Generator Interconnection Agreement issued by the NV Energy transmission provider. Projects must be capable of delivering energy to serve load in NV Energy's retail service territory and must be approved by the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada. Project proposals must allow for a commercial operation date on or before December 31, 2025. Evaluation is based on economic benefit to Nevada, job opportunities in Nevada, and best value to NV Energy's customers.
