Clean Power Alliance (CPA) is soliciting competitive proposals to meet its portfolio needs and achieve compliance with the various California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) Procurement Orders including Renewable Portfolio Standards and Resource Adequacy requirements. The RFO has multiple product categories and generally targets resources between 15 MW and 250 MW, including: 1) Renewable Generation Only Contracts (Mid-term Reliability Eligible Baseload/Firm Renewable Energy and Regular RPS Resources), 2) Renewable Generation Plus Storage Contracts, 3) Standalone Storage Contracts, 4) RA Only Contracts, 5) PCC1 Energy Only Contracts, and 6) Dispatchable Thermal Energy with RA Contracts (including existing dispatchable gas projects paired with storage and projects running on blended fuels). Projects will be evaluated on a combination of quantitative and qualitative factors that include economic value, development risk, workforce development, environmental stewardship, benefits to Disadvantaged Communities, and project location. Dispatchable Thermal Energy with RA Contracts will also be evaluated on their cleaner operations and GHG emissions.
