El Paso Electric Company (EPE) is issuing an Expression of Interest to inform interested parties of an upcoming Request for Proposals for new energy resources to meet system needs and regulatory objectives. The EOI seeks preliminary market interest to support the development of a robust and competitive solicitation. Respondents are invited to briefly indicate their interest in participating in the forthcoming formal RFP by providing information on: Technology Type(s) such as solar PV, wind, battery storage, or hybrid systems; Proposed Project Size in MW; Estimated Commercial Operation Date (COD); Location if known; and Interest in PPA, Build-Transfer, or other contract structures. This EOI is non-binding and participation is not required to submit a proposal under the formal RFP. Responses should be limited to one page in bullet format or short paragraph format. The formal RFP is expected to be released on or around July 1, 2025. Information provided will be used for internal planning purposes only and will not be publicly disclosed.
