Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) seeks to establish a Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Decarbonization Program to bring energy and carbon benefits to C&I customers, while addressing the challenging and nascent C&I electrification market in support of SVCE's mission. The program will leverage the Strategic Energy Management (SEM) model to engage C&I customers in energy efficiency, energy management, and decarbonization efforts. The program will provide technical assistance and incentives for SVCE customers, with performance-based incentive rates tied to avoided emissions. The program builds on a C&I decarbonization pilot launched in fall 2023 to gauge customer interest and refine program contours. The program will be funded through SVCE's Decarbonization Program budget, which draws from SVCE revenues. The program aims to achieve approximately 8,000 MT CO₂ savings, stemming from approximately 1.3M therms savings and 4,700,000 kWh savings. The program's funding can be stacked with other programs, including energy efficiency programs, for which SVCE's customers are eligible.
