Orange County Power Authority (OCPA) is seeking proposals from qualified attorneys and law firms to provide general counsel legal services. The successful firm must provide a designated individual to serve as OCPA General Counsel with expertise in areas including public sector law, public meetings, land use, environmental, personnel, and contracting. Familiarity with the California Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) business model is highly preferred. Services will be provided under a fixed monthly retainer (expected 20-30 hours per month) with additional services billed hourly. Services include attendance at Board meetings, providing legal advice to Board and Staff, reviewing documents, coordinating work of outside legal counsel, assisting with Public Records Act requests, and other routine legal advice on public sector law matters.
