The Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) is seeking qualified firms to submit proposals for the design, procurement, and installation of new residential and small commercial photovoltaic (PV) systems as part of a bulk purchasing group buy program. The program aims to lower prices for participants through coordinated procurement and installation services. The selected firm(s) will work with MREA to serve customers in the Door County area.
MREA will coordinate and deliver a minimum of six free, public Solar Power Hour information sessions as part of the program marketing effort. These sessions will be marketed widely through email blasts, paid social media promotion, promotional partnerships, and press releases. Presentations will include a combination of webinars and in-person events to reach and educate potential participants.
The RFP announcement was published on February 20, 2026. Questions regarding the RFP must be submitted by March 6, 2026, with answers to be posted at that time. Formal proposals are due by March 20, 2026. The selected firm(s) will be announced between March 23-27, 2026. Interested vendors should download the complete RFP document and submit their proposals through the online submission portal.
MREA has a track record of facilitating over 70 Solar Group Buy programs across the Midwest between 2013 and 2025, reaching over 14,500 individuals through Solar Power Hour information sessions and resulting in more than 24,900 kW of installed solar capacity on over 3,400 properties.
