The State of Idaho is seeking comprehensive input from nuclear energy developers and companies in the nuclear supply chain to better understand factors influencing location decisions and to identify specific initiatives that would make Idaho the preferred destination for nuclear investments. The state is actively working to attract nuclear energy operations within its borders by leveraging abundant clean energy resources, strategic geographic location, business-friendly regulatory environment, and strong workforce development programs.
The RFI specifically seeks to identify key factors influencing site selection decisions, understand infrastructure requirements and preferences, assess regulatory and permitting considerations, evaluate workforce and talent needs, determine effective incentive structures, explore partnership opportunities with state agencies and institutions, and gather input on potential barriers to investment.
Responses must be submitted electronically to comments@oer.idaho.gov with the subject line "Request for Information - Nuclear Development Incentives." Interested companies should review the full RFI document before submitting their responses.
