PacifiCorp is seeking bids to engineer, procure and construct carbon capture, utilization and sequestration (CCUS) facilities to remove, sequester or utilize carbon dioxide (CO2) from exhaust gases at two Wyoming coal-fueled generation facilities. Two separate RFPs were issued: one for Dave Johnston Unit 4 (located near Casper) and another for Jim Bridger Units 3 and/or 4 (located near Rock Springs). The RFPs are consistent with Wyoming House Bill 200 requirements and seek bids from CCUS technology developers for implementation of amine-based post combustion technology. Bidders may propose their preferred ownership structures - either owning and operating the CCUS facility themselves, or transferring ownership to PacifiCorp after construction. Bidders are expected to provide information relating to their proposals' reliance on public funding sources, including state and federal grants, and any available tax credits.
