The Town of Stowe Electric Department, a Vermont municipal electric department, is soliciting bids for the repowering of the Smith's Falls Hydroelectric Dam. The project encompasses the rehabilitation of the existing dam structure along with the installation of a new hydroelectric facility including a power house, turbine, generator, control systems, and all associated site work.
Interested bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled for January 6, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM at 435 Moscow Road, Stowe, Vermont. This meeting provides an opportunity for prospective bidders to review the project scope, ask clarifying questions, and view the site conditions.
