San Diego Community Power (SDCP) is requesting proposals for long-term, Portfolio Content Category 1 (PCC1) renewable energy products with initial deliveries commencing prior to December 31, 2028. SDCP is a Community Choice Aggregation program that began service in March 2021, comprised of the cities of Chula Vista, Encinitas, Imperial Beach, La Mesa, National City, San Diego, and the County of San Diego. The RFP seeks renewable energy resources that meet specific eligibility requirements including location within CAISO or delivering into CAISO, CEC certification as Eligible Renewable Energy Resources, minimum generating capacity of 10 MW AC, annual energy deliveries of at least 50,000 MWh, contract terms between 10-20 years, and specific pricing options for both the renewable component and any storage component.
