San Diego Community Power (SDCP) is seeking qualified firms to provide refrigeration equipment supplier services. The services include coordinating and fulfilling the purchase, delivery, and installation of energy-efficient refrigerator and freezer equipment and removing/recycling existing equipment (as needed) at corner stores and/or small businesses in low-income or low-food access areas throughout SDCP's service territory. The work is part of SDCP's Efficient Refrigeration Pilot Program, funded through the California Department of Food and Agriculture's Healthy Refrigeration Grant Program. The Pilot aims to provide up to two energy-efficient refrigeration and/or freezer units to approximately 24 corner stores and/or small businesses. The services required include: 1) Supply energy-efficient refrigeration and freezer equipment and coordinate purchase of equipment by approved program participants from the Qualified Products List; 2) Coordinate delivery of selected equipment to program participant's location; 3) Deliver and install the equipment, verify operational status; 4) Remove and recycle existing equipment being replaced; and 5) Provide regular reporting to SDCP and attend check-in meetings as needed. The work period is expected to be from October 18, 2024 through April 30, 2026.
