San Diego Community Power (SDCP) is seeking proposals from one or more entities to provide services related to power planning and procurement, power contract negotiation, rate design assistance, risk management, schedule coordination, integrated resource planning and long-term renewables procurement. The services are organized into three task areas: 1) Project Administration, Portfolio Management & Energy Advisory Services; 2) CAISO Scheduling Coordinator and Settlement Services; and 3) Integrated Resource Planning and IRP Development, Renewables and Long-Term Procurement, and Distributed Energy Resource Assessment and Procurement. SDCP's implementation objectives are to provide electric generation rates that are 2-4% below those offered by SDG&E, offer a default product that is between 50-60% RPS qualified renewable at competitive/discounted rates, offer a voluntary product that is 100% renewable at competitive rates (with a small premium if necessary), and to include local/regional power resources as much as possible.
