The National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO) is seeking a consultant to support activities engaging State Energy Offices and other key stakeholders as part of the U.S. Department of Energy's Building Technologies Office Advanced Building Construction Initiative (ABC). The ABC Initiative integrates energy efficiency solutions into construction practices through off-site panelized construction and electrification retrofits to achieve near net-zero energy performance.
The consultant will facilitate partnerships between State Energy Offices and State Housing Finance Agencies to support ABC market development activities. Key responsibilities include collaborating with NASEO to develop value propositions for State Housing Finance Agency participation, identifying appropriate points of contact at State Housing Finance Agencies in interested states, promoting the ABC approach nationally through various channels, and participating in peer exchange meetings to provide overviews of State Housing Finance Agencies and financing opportunities for affordable housing.
The project period runs from December 15, 2021 to April 30, 2022, with a contract amount not to exceed $38,000. The consultant will invoice monthly for actual work completed and achieved milestones. Monthly check-ins with NASEO are required to provide progress updates and identify technical assistance needs. The consultant may propose additional tasks or activities to improve program results beyond the identified core activities.
