Greenville Utilities Commission is seeking sealed bids for the furnishing of electrical supplies and materials. The procurement includes 45 line items covering electrical tape in various sizes and colors (1.5 inch and 3/4 inch widths), wide range compression connectors (squeezons) in multiple amperage ratings, copper connectors, plastic squeezon covers, aluminum sleeves for various cable gauges, split bolt connectors in multiple sizes, insulinks, neutral splices, cable spray cleaner, electrical PVC cement, oxide inhibitor, and lube and sealant lubricant. All materials must be purchased in box quantities unless otherwise stated. Estimated quantities range from 50 units for some specialty items to 4,000 units for certain compression connectors.
Bidders must submit proposals on the official Proposal Form provided by GUC. All bids must be sealed and clearly marked with the bid name and opening date/time. Bids submitted via fax or email will not be accepted. Quotations should be mailed or delivered to Cleve Haddock, Procurement Manager, at 401 South Greene Street, Greenville, NC 27834. Each bidder must specify the name brand of all items quoted and provide the expected delivery time for each line item. The evaluation will consider compliance with prescribed requirements, quality, performance, and price. GUC reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. All 45 items will be awarded as a total bid package to a single vendor.
Key dates include a questions deadline of July 28, 2024 at 12:00 pm EDT, with all questions directed to Cleve Haddock at (252) 551-1533 or haddocgc@guc.com. Delivery shall be made FOB to GUC Warehouse at 701 Utility Way, Greenville, North Carolina 27834, with delivery hours limited to 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday only. All deliveries must include the GUC purchase order number on the packing slip. GUC intends to enter into a multi-year contract with a fixed price for the first year and options for two additional years at the same or negotiated unit prices.
