Greenville Utilities Commission is soliciting sealed bids for the procurement of materials for the MacGregor Downs Regulator Station. The bid includes eight line items for various valve, regulator, strainer, and fitting components required for the station. Specific items include: (1) 6-inch ball valve flanged end ANSI 300 with gearbox and handwheel (quantity 3); (2) 4-inch ball valve flanged end ANSI 300 with 2-inch nut (quantity 5); (3) 4-inch ball valve weld end ANSI 300 with lubrication lines (quantity 1); (4) 4-inch strainer tee style flanged end ANSI 300 (quantity 2); (5) 2-inch pressure reducing regulator flanged end ANSI 300 (quantity 4); (6) 4-inch straightening vanes flanged (quantity 1); (7) 8-inch transition fitting with specific material requirements (quantity 1); and (8) 6x8-inch relief valve ANSI 300x150 (quantity 1).
All items must be from domestic sources where specified and must meet the exact technical specifications outlined in Section II of the bid document. Bidders must specify the manufacturer of materials being quoted. All deviations from specifications must be clearly noted on the Exception Form; otherwise, strict compliance with specifications is assumed. Delivery must be made FOB Greenville Utilities Commission Warehouse at 701 Utility Way, Greenville, North Carolina 27834. Delivery hours are 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday only, and all deliveries must include the GUC purchase order number on the packing slip.
Bidders must submit two copies of their proposals on the official Proposal Form by 3:00 PM EDT on September 18, 2025. Sealed bids must be clearly marked with the bid name and opening date/time and addressed to the Procurement Manager at 401 S. Greene Street, Greenville, North Carolina 27834. Late bids and bids submitted by fax or email will not be accepted. Questions regarding the bid must be directed to Cleve Haddock, Procurement Manager, by 12:00 PM EDT on September 11, 2025. Bids will be publicly opened and read immediately after the submission deadline. GUC reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award the contract as individual items or as a total bid. All bidders must comply with E-Verify requirements and provide certification of compliance. The contract is subject to all applicable terms and conditions outlined in Section III, including insurance requirements, indemnification, warranty provisions, and North Carolina law.
