Greenville Utilities Commission is soliciting sealed bids for the purchase and delivery of one new 2026 Ford F-550 XL Crew Cab 4WD Dual Rear Wheel (DRW) pickup truck with flatbed body installation. The vehicle must meet comprehensive safety specifications including rear-view camera, AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, Individual Tire Pressure Monitoring System, SOS Post-Crash Alert System, Trailer Sway Control, Anti-Lock Brake System, Traction Control, wiper-activated headlamps, front-seat side airbags, Safety Canopy System, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, and Forward Collision Warning. The flatbed must be professionally installed according to GUC-provided drawing specifications.
Bidders must submit sealed proposals on the provided Proposal Form only, with two copies received by November 18, 2025 at 3:00 PM (EST) at the GUC Procurement Manager's office, 401 S. Greene Street, Greenville, North Carolina 27834. Bids submitted via fax or email are not acceptable. The bid opening will occur promptly at 3:00 PM (EST) on November 18, 2025 at the GUC Main Office. Bidders must clearly state all exceptions or variations to specifications on the Exception/Variation Form; failure to note deviations constitutes acceptance of strict compliance with all specifications. Delivery shall be made Free on Board (FOB) GUC Garage, 721 Utility Way, Greenville, North Carolina 27834 during business hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday only. Bidders must state delivery time, which will be considered in bid evaluation. No deposit is required. Sales tax should be added as a separate invoice item; GUC is exempt from Federal Excise Tax and will provide a Federal Exemption Certificate upon request. Award will be made to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder whose bid is in GUC's best interest based on quality, performance, price, and compliance with specifications. GUC reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept minor deviations from specifications if in GUC's best interest.
