Greenville Utilities Commission is soliciting sealed bids for the furnishing of one new 2026 Ford F-550 XL Super Cab 4-wheel drive dual rear wheel vehicle equipped with a Knapheide crane service body. The vehicle specifications include comprehensive safety features such as rear-view camera, AdvanceTrac with roll stability control, individual tire pressure monitoring system, SOS post-crash alert system, trailer sway control, anti-lock brake system, traction control, wiper-activated headlamps, front-seat side airbags, safety canopy system, and pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking.
The service body must be Knapheide brand with LED lighting, work bench bumper, and electric door locks programmed to function with the chassis key fob. Detailed drawings for the service body specifications are provided in the bid documents.
Bidders must submit sealed proposals on the attached proposal form with two copies received no later than November 25, 2025 at 3:00 PM EST at the Greenville Utilities Commission office, 401 S. Greene Street, Greenville, North Carolina 27834. Bids submitted via fax or email will not be acceptable. The bid opening will occur immediately after the deadline at the main office location.
All bids must include delivery time estimates, manufacturer information, and any exceptions or deviations from specifications must be clearly documented on the exception form. Questions regarding the bid must be directed to Cleve Haddock, Procurement Manager, by November 13, 2025. Delivery shall be made FOB to the GUC Garage at 721 Utility Way, Greenville, North Carolina 27834 during business hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. GUC reserves the right to reject any or all bids and will award to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder.
