Greenville Utilities Commission is seeking sealed bids for the furnishing of natural gas materials for the MacGregor Downs Regulator Station. The solicitation includes twelve (12) line items comprising various polyethylene and steel pipe components, fittings, couplings, reducers, end caps, tees, tracer wire, and pre-cast concrete collars. Specific materials include 6-inch polyethylene pipe (ASTM D2513 & ASTM D2683, SDR 11, PE 2406/2708) in 40 LF stick lengths totaling 13,520 linear feet with marked DOT Section 192.63 and capped ends; 8-inch and 2-inch steel pipe (API 5L, Grade X-52) with external FBE coating (12-14 mils); various polyethylene fittings and couplings meeting ASTM specifications; yellow #8 THHN stranded copper tracer wire on 500-foot hand spools totaling 16,000 linear feet; pre-cast concrete collars; and steel-to-plastic transition fittings.
Bidders must submit sealed proposals on the provided Proposal Form by November 4, 2025 at 3:00 pm (EST) at the Office of the Procurement Manager, 401 S. Greene Street, Greenville, North Carolina 27834. Two copies of the proposal are required. Bids submitted via fax or email will not be accepted. Bidders must clearly specify the manufacturer of all materials being quoted and provide delivery timeframes. Any deviations from specifications must be noted on the Exception Form; otherwise complete compliance is assumed. Bidders should compute all prompt payment discounts into their prices.
Evaluation will consider price, quality, delivery timeframe, manufacturer reputation, and substantial conformity with specifications. GUC reserves the right to award individual items or the total bid for all items and may purchase more or less than stated quantities based on actual needs. All deliveries must be made FOB GUC Warehouse at 701 Utility Way, Greenville, North Carolina 27834 between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM Monday through Friday only. All shipments require a GUC purchase order number on packing slips.
