Greenville Utilities Commission (GUC) is soliciting sealed bids for underground cable replacement and related electrical infrastructure improvements in the Rolling Meadows Subdivision in Greenville, North Carolina. The project scope includes installation of underground (UG) distribution cable, cable terminations, switching cabinets, precast equipment pads, and pad-mounted transformers. All equipment pads will be replaced with new precast pads, and contractor pricing must include this work. The successful contractor will be responsible for furnishing all necessary labor, equipment, and materials to complete the work except for materials and equipment specified to be furnished by GUC. Work includes removing existing materials designated on drawings, transferring materials as needed, installing cable in conduit with proper handling and termination, installing equipment pads, grounding systems, and performing acceptance tests including continuity and HiPot testing. The contractor must comply with the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), all applicable federal and state electrical codes, and OSHA safety requirements.

Bidders must provide a 5% bid bond or certified check, Performance Bond and Payment Bond each equal to 100% of contract price, current contractor's license for North Carolina, proof of required insurance coverage, and documentation of good faith efforts toward minority and women business enterprise (M/WBE) participation with aspirational goals of 7% MBE and 4% WBE. The contractor must submit a proposed construction schedule, list of subcontractors, references for similar projects, and proposed project management staff with minimum 60% of workforce having five or more years tenure with the bidder's firm.
