The City of Burlington Electric Department is seeking proposals for the replacement of a fire suppression panel that controls an existing FM-200 suppression system. The current system uses a Kidde Scorpio panel that is nearing the end of its service life and must be replaced with an equivalent panel that can be integrated into the system with minimal modification to external devices and communications.
The scope of work includes specifying, procuring, installing, and testing the replacement panel. Proposers must provide a comprehensive technical proposal that includes system design with updated drawings, make and model specifications of new hardware to be installed, and a detailed project plan with milestone tasks and expected timelines.
An optional site walkthrough is available on May 12, 2026 at 10:00 AM EST at the project location. The formal RFP was released on April 29, 2026, with proposals due by May 15, 2026 at 5:00 PM EST. The contractor will be selected on May 18, 2026, with project work authorized to begin the same day. The project must be completed by June 30, 2026.
Proposals should demonstrate the proposer's approach and plans for accomplishing the specifications, including detailed system design documentation, component specifications, and a comprehensive project timeline with clearly defined milestone tasks.
