San Diego Community Power (SD Community Power) is seeking a firm to develop and build an Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) in the cloud that will provide a single source of truth for all reporting and advanced analytics needs. The platform will serve as an enterprise data platform for data consumers within SD Community Power, enabling and enhancing the mission of delivering clean energy to customers. The goal of the data platform is to deliver operational excellence and strategic value for customers and staff via predictive analytics and machine learning models. The EDP will be built in the public cloud and would allow centralization of data across multiple sources, create data-driven analytics for several internal departments, and enable descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. Key goals include: providing a single source of truth for all reporting and analytics, ensuring data is protected and available for compliance, enabling self-service reporting for business users, reducing dependency on vendors for data storage and analytics, delivering in-house analytics, reporting and dashboard capabilities, and developing predictive, prescriptive analytics and machine learning models. The selected proposer will build a cloud-based EDP solution that SD Community Power can manage and operate independently after the contracted support period, handle customer data responsibly, be available for support during business hours, and demonstrate expertise in building enterprise data platforms and working with large volumes of data.
