SDG&E seeks to sell its California Manzanita Wind Project development rights through an auction process. The project is a utility-owned generation wind facility located in eastern San Diego County near the Boulevard substation. The project features an energy-only wind powered generation facility with a net output of 57.5 MW to the Point of Interconnection (POI) located at the Boulevard Substation in Boulevard, CA. The project occupies Queue Position number 583 in the CAISO Queue. The revised proposed Commercial Operation Date (COD) is January 29, 2017. The project was studied under FERC approved Generator Interconnection Procedures (GIP) in Cluster 2, Phase I, Phase II, and Re-Study of Phase II. The final Re-Study Report was completed on June 4, 2012. Bidders are invited to submit bids to purchase SDG&E's development rights to the Manzanita Wind Project under a Purchase and Sale Agreement. SDG&E completed preliminary development activities but was unsuccessful in securing site control and is now seeking offers from potential buyers. The Interconnection Request was submitted to CAISO in January 2010 and the Interconnection Agreement with CAISO is pending.
