Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) is seeking a qualified consulting firm to provide a SharePoint Power Automate Developer/Administrator with extensive enterprise-level experience. The successful consultant will be responsible for technical design, build, and deployment of SharePoint Online sites, including custom web parts using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), React, and TypeScript. The consultant will develop, configure, and maintain enterprise intranet websites and departmental collaboration sites aligned with LIPA's branding, governance, and accessibility standards.
Key responsibilities include designing and implementing Microsoft Power Automate cloud flows and Power Platform solutions to automate business processes, approvals, and notifications. The consultant will build and support API integrations between SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and existing/future LIPA line-of-business systems, create reusable site templates and content types, and manage SharePoint permissions and security groups via Microsoft Entra ID. Additional duties include developing custom and out-of-the-box web parts, monitoring site health and usage analytics, troubleshooting SharePoint and Power Automate issues, and providing end-user and administrator training and documentation.
Required qualifications include 10+ years of enterprise-level SharePoint design, development, and administration; 5+ years of hands-on experience developing custom web parts using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS; 5+ years building and maintaining corporate intranet websites; 5+ years of Microsoft Power Automate experience; 15+ years supporting SharePoint end users and delivering training; and 15+ years of web user interface design and front-end development experience. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience) is required, with relevant Microsoft certifications (PL-400, MS-600, PL-100) preferred. The consultant must reside in the United States of America.

The project duration is estimated at one year with the option to extend for two additional 6-month extensions.
