San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E) is issuing a Request for Offers (RFO) seeking contracts with facilities that produce Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS)-eligible energy for the purpose of implementing its Disadvantaged Communities Green Tariff (DAC-GT) program. The program is designed to provide low-income households within disadvantaged communities (DACs) with an opportunity to access clean, renewable energy. SDG&E's DAC-GT program is designed to ensure sufficient eligible capacity is available to meet customer demand of up to 18 MW. The solicitation is seeking DAC-GT projects that are classified as eligible renewable resources. Projects must be located within SDG&E's service territory and be in a community identified as among the top 25% of communities statewide by using CalEnviroScreen 3.0, or in the highest 5% of CalEnviroScreen's Pollution Burden that do not have a CalEnviroScreen Score. This solicitation is not requesting bids for feed-in-tariff projects (e.g., Re-MAT, Bio-MAT), BioRAM, EcoChoice, EcoShare, CSGT or other RPS procurement activities. The RFO employs a non-modifiable Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) structure that has been pre-approved by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). Respondents are required to submit offers in accordance with the RFO Protocols document and include all required forms and bid materials.
