The primary objective of this RFP is to help Disadvantaged Workers (DW) participate in the California energy efficiency, electrification, and decarbonization workforce. PG&E seeks proposals that accomplish the following, including, but not limited to: advancing awareness of efficiency, electrification, and decarbonization careers among DW, collaborating with relevant training organizations, advancing DW participation in relevant technical training, demonstrating knowledge gain in energy efficiency, electrification, and decarbonization topics, providing individual DW the support they need to overcome barriers to entering the workforce, and placing DW in jobs in the California energy efficiency, electrification, and decarbonization sectors. Successful CWR program(s) resulting from this solicitation shall partner with and leverage existing training programs for technical training. They shall also collaborate with and leverage regional workforce development organizations for services, including wraparound services and non-technical/soft skills training.
